 Ethno New Zealand 2021

Venue: Piritahi Marae, Waiheke Island

23rd - 31st of January

Are you a musician between the age of 18 - 30 interested in creating intercultural dialogue through music?

Does a summer traditional/world music experience on and Island in the magnificent Hauraki Gulf / TÄ«kapa Moana of Auckland, New Zealand sound like you?

Come and join the global whanau (family) of ETHNO!

We are excited to be putting on the 4th Edition of Ethno New Zealand!

Ethno will open musicians to a global network of passionate, open minded people who want to celebrate and share music and culture.

Ethno New Zealand will be held on a Marae (Maori meeting place). It will be a week of young musicians teaching each other their traditional music, sharing cultural experiences and taking part in workshops.

This is a unique experience that will give you a deeper understanding of our indigenous peoples of New Zealand and our many other cultures that reside here in Aotearoa ( The land of the long white cloud) all while creating musical magic.

A Marae provides the perfect foundations for a pacific Ethno experience. We can't wait to bring cultures together giving life to Ethno New Zealand 2020.

Ethno New Zealand will be at the Marae for the week and will travel to the Auckland Folk Festival over the weekend for our final concert.

Looking forward to meeting you in 2020!
